Hello everyone, my name is Bobbie Sue Kvachkoff and I am the head instructor at our company. I love what I do. Like you read on
our home page, I went to Purdue University and received a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentraction in acting. I have a strong background in performance and absolutely love being on stage. The
feeling I get on stage is like nothing else. You rehearse for weeks and then you perform in front of a live audience. There are absolutely no take backs, you can't yell cut and start
again, you don't get to ask for a line, and if you have a costume malfunction you better make it work :)
I love performing but I discovered a new passion. Teaching. I come from a big family, as does Mike, and I remembered being little and
wanting to be in shows...but there were not very many opportunites for children that came about on a regular basis. So, we decided to bring more opportunities to Crown Point and share
that love and passion for theatre with students here. I have found teaching to be extremely rewarding and enjoy every minute of it. Our company offers an ongoing training program, as well
as chances to audition for shows and apply what we learn in class to an actual staged performance.
We accept students from first grade to graduating seniors in our training program though sometimes our classes may be gearedWe have class room
sessions and we also offer private lessons...which are perfect for preparing for an audition!
This program is perfect for so many individuals! If they are shy this class helps them come out of their shell and gives them more
confidence. If they are more of the class clown this forces them to work as a team and focus their energy on a specific task. It can also help with their reading and
speaking/presentational skills. No matter the student, I have learned from personal experience that theatre can help each individual grow and develop.
